Padua, March 28, 2021 – The 20th day of the women’s Serie B championship ended with a score of 3-1<\/strong> in favor of Cittadella. For the Venetian women, Zanni’s double in the first half and Zorzan’s goal in the 51st minute were the deciding factors. For the “biancorosse,” however, the goal came only in the 70th minute and was signed by Lucrezia Di Fiore<\/b>. <\/p>\n

“I saw a good performance – <\/i>reports coach Luciano Mancini<\/b> – certainly more convincing than last Sunday against Pomigliano. Even though the result was also against us today, we take the best we gave, such as being back to scoring for two consecutive Sundays after a series of matches we ended without getting to the goal. Against a square and well-organized team, we managed to keep our morale and concentration high; the girls gave a good response where absences and standings surely could have played a negative role on the team.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Lucrezia Di Fiore<\/b>, author of today’s goal, commented on today’s challenge as follows, “We did not give up and we tried until the end, in fact we managed to score. Despite the result, I’m still very happy for the goal, the first one this year. It’s always nice to score even if it didn’t help much. We have to try to improve in many aspects and enter the field with more conviction. Now we prepare for Thursday’s game with Lazio and we will try.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Next commitment<\/b> for the griffonets, before the Easter stop, on Thursday, April 1, away against Lazio W, for the recovery of the 16th day of the championship.<\/p>\n
