Como, Jan. 24, 2021 – Today’s trip to the home of Riozzese Como<\/b>, a team that is a candidate for promotion to the Serie A, ended in a very important draw for the biancorosse.<\/p>\n

However, a difficult match that highlighted the great growth of the very young team led by coach Luciano Mancini<\/b>. A first half ended with untouched goals where Perugia<\/b> was able to maintain an orderly game in the face of the numerous chances created by the Comasche. <\/p>\n

In the second half the picture did not change, Riozzese became aggressive and persisted in attack but the red and white managed to take good advantage of several restarts. Just thanks to one of these, Elisabetta Tola <\/b>with a great quality play manages to earn a penalty kick later converted by Rangana Timo<\/b> for the red and white advantage. Riozzese, however, did not give up and in the 69th minute went into the net with Rognoni<\/g>, who also scored a goal in the first leg. In the last minutes of the game Perugia, numerically outnumbered with the expulsion of Ilenia Serluca<\/g> with 8 minutes to go, suffers but manages to keep the result unchanged despite pressure from the home team. The triple final whistle awarded a crucial point to the griffonets. <\/p>\n

Number 10 Rangana Timo<\/b>, whose coolness from the penalty spot temporarily put the red-and-whites ahead, commented on the match as follows:<\/p>\n

“I believe that work always pays off and we from the first practice, even being a very young team, have always given everything. Our sacrifices were always seen and, game after game, we grew both as a game and as a team. It was great to score, especially because it was my first goal in Serie B, an important goal for the team. Our strength is the group, we on the field help each other, we always incite each other and the “older” ones always try to help the younger ones.”<\/i><\/p>\n

Even in the words of Elisabetta Tola<\/strong>, who ended the match with a great performance, the satisfaction of the whole team is evident: “We are happy to have brought home a precious draw, won with a lot of sacrifice from all of us. The unity of the group was our strength because each of us gave everything until the last minute. We will continue to work to improve and prepare for the next competition.”<\/i><\/p>\n
