Perugia, Oct. 4, 2020 – The match played today at the “Renato Curi” antistadium ended with a score of 7-1 in favor of Lazio Women, one of the candidates for the final victory.
Good start to the game by the Grifoncelle girls who took the lead with Giulia Asta ‘s goal in the 16th minute.The draw by the Biancocelesti girls, however, was not long in coming. On the half-hour of the first half they tied again with Pezzotti‘s goal, only to overturn the score with Martin five minutes later. At the end of the first half it was 2-1 in favor of Lazio.
In the second half, the superiority of manpower showed itself and Lazio managed to score five more goals: a double by Visentin, then Lipman, again Martin and finally Cianci in the finale.
“More than because of our shortcomings, the final result is credit to our opponents who showed that they are a team aiming for first place in the standings,” commented coach Luciano Mancini after the game.
Sunday was also bad for the Primavera team, which was beaten 9-0 away from home by Florentia San Gimignano.
