Elia ends his experience with the Gryphon to devote himself to new experiences in the eSports planet.

Twenty-two months after signing his first deal with a professional soccer club, Elia “Ruggio” Rugini is leaving Grifo to pursue new opportunities and professional experiences in eSports.

In this year and a half together, Elia has been a great protagonist for the club on par with fellow players. Ruggio and Perugia have shared fantastic experiences: from the eSports King Tour tournaments, for which he was an ambassador with the aim of promoting the video game movement in the territory, to the growth of the team enriched this year by the presence of Celestino Terniqi and coach Francesco Lillacci.

Elia has achieved many satisfactions in the various national and international tournaments played with the Grifo on his chest such as the victory in the show match in Pescara (first eSports match in Lega B on the big screen of a stadium), the participation in the Romics Tournament, the fourth place achieved in the Friendly Tournament together with Cagliari, Empoli, Pescara, Standard Liege, Legia Warsaw, St. Gallen, Sion and the French Monaco. Recently thanks to the 28 victories achieved in the Weekend League, Elia obtained the verification that allowed him access to all online World Cup qualifying events.

The Red and White Club is increasingly confirming itself as a springboard for young talent. ESports has been no exception.
