Perugia, Sept. 1, 2021 – The LND Women’s Football Department has made official the match schedule for the elimination phase of the Italian Cup following the draw made to determine the teams that will play the first day at home.
The forty-eight C Series formations, divided into sixteen groups, will face each other on September 12, 19 and 26. In the case of the triangulars (groups 1, 7, 10, 15) the formation that won or, in case of a draw, played away will rest on the second day. Perugia has been placed in group 7 with Ternana and Res Women. It begins at home on September 12 against Ternana.
“The team is working very well,” reports coach Vania Peverini,“and a compact group is gradually being created. As a whole it is a fairly new roster, so it will take time to find the right balance, but we are already taking the first steps in this direction thanks to intense and serious work.
A serene atmosphere is accompanying us precisely in the search for this harmony on the field as well, and certainly coupled with the serious and constant commitment is leading us toward the correct situation. We will face the first cup competition with this spirit, looking for those factors that will then be fundamental during the championship.”
