Valentina Brozzetti, not only a soccer player but also a nurse, traces her history in the red and white.

Despite being just 22 years old, midfielder Valentina Brozzetti is one of the most experienced girls in Perugia Calcio Femminile: “We are a very young team, I feel like a reference point for the younger ones even though I have teammates that I watch from both a tactical and character aspect. You never stop growing from the point of view of experience and play, it is important to absorb the positive things from those around you.”

The first approaches with the ball date back to childhood: “I started playing like all little girls and boys in the courtyard under the house. Then my parents, who always supported me, enrolled me in the soccer school in my village, Collepepe. When I was 14, the Primavera coach of what was then called Grifo Perugia invited me to play with them. I did four years in Primavera and then went up to the first team. Being from Perugia, it is even more beautiful to honor this jersey.”

Over the years, Valentina has done a lot of training not only from a sporting standpoint: “Soccer is a character-building sport, and in my opinion it is also important for its social aspect. Being part of a team helps you make friends and bring out the character you have. Humility and believing in your teammates are the most important things in a team. The group is formed by working together a lot and by being honest with each other.”

The red and white number 8 has no doubts about what her fondest soccer-related memory is: “When we won the national championship with the Primavera team in the 2013/14 season. It was really exciting.”

When not training Valentina has a wonderful job: “I am a nurse, so for now I manage to balance work and soccer well. My teammates know this in fact they often ask me how to treat various aches and pains resulting from the game.”
