Grifoncelle girls engaged Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the Italian Cup
Perugia – Pontedera on Sept. 2, the preliminary round of the Coppa Italia, will be the first official match with which the Grifoncelle will take the field again after the stop caused by COVID-19. Wednesday’s match will be played at the Renato Curi antistadio at 5 p.m. The return match will be played at the Tuscan side’s field on Sunday, Sept. 6. Meanwhile, the Biancorosse’s athletic preparation continues at a fast pace with their eyes fixed on the first challenge and qualification for the group stage of the tournament.
“It has been an intense week for the girls who have been training daily with great commitment and seriousness,” reports the director in charge, Valentina Roscini. “The first cup competitions,” continues Roscini, “will be an excellent test to measure ourselves with the level of the category, and to amalgamate a team that due to covid, to protect its health, has not had the opportunity to play friendly matches except between the home walls between the various internal teams.
